Welcome to The Show
A Great fan of the Aylsham Show
‘My first Aylsham Show was in 1967 when my soon to be father-in-law the late Bill Seaman and soon to be wife Jane were showing the North Norfolk Harriers. At our rehearsal the day before the show the horse I was riding bolted from the showground through Ingworth but everything was alright on the day. Since then we have hardly missed a show. Our first success was in the child’s miniature garden competition in 1979, since when we have moved on to horses with varying success including a couple of in-hand championships.
I have always been a great fan of the Aylsham Show. It remains true to its agricultural roots while doing what it needs to do to draw in people from all walks of life to support the good causes to which the Show contributes. During the short time I have been involved in the workings of the Show I come to realise how many people commit a huge amount of time and effective effort to making the Aylsham Show work on the day. I am honoured to have been elected as their representative for this year.’
